The DGS recalls in the standard that “cases” of myocarditis and pericarditis were observed after vaccination with the Community, which occurred mainly in the 14 days after vaccination, more frequent after the second dose and in younger males.
In the norm, the DGS also calls on health professionals to, with a view to vaccination, alert people (including parents or caregivers) to seek immediate medical assistance if they develop symptoms suggestive of myocarditis or pericarditis after vaccination, such as pain in the chest. acute and persistent dyspnea or palpitations.
“Available data suggest that the clinical course of myocarditis and pericarditis after vaccination is not different from myocarditis and pericarditis in general, that is, it normally has a benign course after restriction and/or symptomatic treatment”, reads in the document
Very common adverse reactions are mild or moderate in intensity and resolve a few days after vaccination: pain at the injection site, fatigue, headache, chills, joint pain, fever (more frequent after the 2nd shot, when purchased with the 1st shot), swelling and redness at the injection site.
